We are Atlantic Beef Products Inc. (APBI) – a farmer-owned beef processing facility located on the south shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada’s Food Island. For over two decades, we’ve been producing premium East Coast beef for chefs and home cooks across Canada and beyond.

Our History
In 2002, over 200 beef producers from across Atlantic Canada came together to create a cooperative. One of their main goals was to ensure the ongoing viability of the local industry by opening a state-of-the-art beef processing facility right in the region.
A short two years later, Atlantic Beef Products, Inc. (ABP) opened its doors in Albany, Prince Edward Island. Finally, beef producers in Atlantic Canada had a federally-inspected beef processing facility to call their own.
Today, ABP serves as a hub for the region’s thriving beef industry and has earned a reputation for exacting quality standards and exceptional products. It represents the culmination of what can be achieved when a shared vision is brought to fruition through the dedication and cooperation of many individuals and groups – cattle farmers, governments, and industry stakeholders.
