Atlantic Beef Products cattle producers are staunch custodians of the land. We have a vested interest in sustainable environmental practices. After all, because the industry thrives on multi-generational family farms, land stewardship and best practices for green farming go hand-in-hand with managing a successful and long-term family business. In fact, as long as cattle have been raised on their land, our beef producers have worked to protect and enhance our environment.
Sustainable farming for future generations.
Cattle grazing stabilizes the soil and promotes growth of beneficial grasses. In addition, erosion control practices, including rotational grazing, brush control management and no-till farming, protect our ecosystem.
Like our producers, Atlantic Beef Products also has a significant role to play in sustainability. To preserve our resources for future generations, our processing facility implements sustainable practices such as sourcing local beef, composting cattle waste into nutrient rich fertilizer, and reducing water use. Our team is continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint and we work hard to ensure responsible practices and recycling programs are in place.
